How You Can Help

1. Donate to Support Relief Efforts

These organizations are doing incredible work to provide immediate aid and long-term rebuilding support for those impacted by the fires:

  • Global Empowerment Mission (GEM): GEM delivers aid quickly and efficiently to those in need. Your donations help provide shelter, supplies, and support to displaced families.

  • Baby2Baby: This nonprofit is on the ground in LA, providing essentials like diapers, food, formula, and hygiene products to children and families who have lost everything. They work with over 470 partner organizations across LA County, including schools, shelters, and hospitals, to ensure vital supplies reach those in need.

2. Conserve Water

Help firefighters by reducing your water usage at home. The firefighting teams rely on the LA water system to refill their tanks, and every drop counts during emergencies.

Here are simple ways to cut down on water consumption today:

  • Limit shower times to under 5 minutes.1

  • Postpone running dishwashers and washing machines. If you have to use them, make sure they are full loads only.

  • Turn off taps when brushing your teeth, washing hands, or shaving.

3. Offer Shelter or Resources

If you have a spare room, a guest house, or even space to store belongings, consider offering it to those displaced by the fires. Platforms like Airbnb.org are working to connect hosts with evacuees in need of temporary housing.

For business owners, offering your space for community gatherings, distribution centers, or rest stations for firefighters can also have a tremendous impact.

Tips for Protecting Your Health from Smoke & Ash

Wildfire smoke and ash can harm your respiratory system and overall health. Here’s how to stay safe:

  • Use a Neti Pot or saline spray to rinse your nasal passages daily.

  • Keep BeeKeepers Nasal Spray Max on hand for additional support.

  • Stay hydrated—drink plenty of bottled water (boil tap water if necessary as LA water is not currently safe to drink).

  • Activated Charcoal: Helps detoxify your system.
