Can I use this toner with retinol or other exfoliants in my routine?

We recommend doing a patch test on the skin to ensure no irritation or reaction, however it is not recommended to use this with retinol due to potential risk of irritation. If using alongside other exfoliants, it’s recommended to work up your skin’s tolerance and not use more than what your skin can take.

What is the concentration of alcohol? Will this dry out my skin?

The denatured alcohol in this formula is there to help the 2% BHA Salicylic Acid can effectively do its job of clearing pores and exfoliating skin. Even though this formula contains alcohol, it is clinically tested to ensure it keeps skin hydrated and is gentle on the skin’s moisture barrier! We have also included many hydrating agents to make this especially friendly for sensitive skin.

Can I combine this with CLEARITY®, CELLRENEW®, or BOUNCEBACK?

Yes! Combining with our other products will only help you achieve better results, but it’s important to carefully build your routine if you decide to use BRIGHTMEUP in the same routine as CLEARITY® since they both contain exfoliating ingredients. If you’re already using CLEARITY® every night, it is recommended to start BRIGHTMEUP in the mornings to avoid over exfoliation. If your skin can tolerate, you can work up to using BRIGHTMEUP both morning and night as directed. We highly recommend using CELLRENEW® alongside BRIGHTMEUP because it will help your skin even better tolerate the active brightening agents in the product.

Is the fragrance in this product synthetic?

No, there are no synthetic fragrances in this product. The fragrance is naturally derived from a mixture of essential oils and hydrating natural aromatic extracts that benefit the skin.

Is there a recommended frequency for using BRIGHTMEUP?

Begin by using nightly or every other night, ensuring skin can tolerate its powerful exfoliation properties. Slowly work up to every night or twice a day, if preferred. Results may vary depending on frequency of use and the skin’s tolerance to the powerful BHA. Be sure to use sunscreen every day for maximum results!

How does BRIGHTMEUP fit into a skincare routine?

BRIGHTMEUP is a potent toner that is meant to effectively reduce the appearance of excess oil and pores, while brightening and hydrating the skin! It should be applied to freshly cleansed skin as the first step in your skincare routine, both morning and night, after working up a tolerance to the product. To start, use every evening. When you’ve worked up tolerance, you can use in your morning routine as well. This product can make skin more sun sensitive so ALWAYS follow up with a sunscreen of SPF 30 or above.
